The doctor will give you a copy of the guide at your first pregnancy checkup.

CSSS Matapédia

The perinatal nurse at the CLSC will receive the notice of pregnancy completed by your doctor at your first pregnancy checkup. She will then call you to ask you to come pick up a copy of the guide left in your name at the CLSC reception desk.

CSSS Mitis

The midwife will give you a copy of the guide at your first pregnancy checkup at Maison de naissances Colette-Julien, or the doctor will give you a copy of the guide at your first pregnancy checkup.

CSSS Rimouski-Neigette

The perinatal liaison nurse will receive the notice of pregnancy completed by your doctor at your first pregnancy checkup. She will then make an appointment to meet you at the hospital and give you a copy of the guide.

The perinatal nurse at the CLSC will receive the notice of pregnancy completed by your doctor at your first pregnancy checkup. She will then make an appointment to meet you at the CLSC and give you a copy of the guide.

CSSS Témiscouata

The nurse from the Cabano or Dégelis Family Medicine Group will give you a copy of the guide when she first meets with you at the start of the pregnancy. The perinatal nurse at the CLSC will receive the notice of pregnancy completed by your doctor at your first pregnancy checkup. She will then make an appointment to meet you at the CLSC and give you a copy of the guide.

Hôpital D’Alma

You will be given your copy of the guide at the hospital during the dating ultrasound.

Hôpital de Chicoutimi

During your first pregnancy checkup with your doctor, he or she will tell you to go to the women’s health clinic at Hôpital de Chicoutimi for blood tests. You will be given your copy of the guide at the hospital.

Hôpital de Dolbeau-Mistassini

During your first pregnancy checkup with your doctor, you will be referred for screening for Trisomy 21 as well as for an assessment of your needs. You will be given there your copy of the guide.

CLSC de St-Félicien

The guide is provided to the pregnant woman during her first pregnancy follow-up appointment.

Capitale-Nationale

During your first pregnancy checkup with your doctor, he or she will give you a prescription to make an appointment with the prenatal clinic at the CSSS. The nurse at the prenatal clinic will give you a copy of the guide at your first appointment, between the 12th and 16th week of pregnancy. If a midwife is following your pregnancy, she must give you a copy of the guide at the start of the pregnancy. Copies of the guide can be picked up from any one of the prenatal clinics at the CLSC or at Maison de naissance de la Capitale-Nationale. Pregnant women who consult a doctor in a private clinic for their prenatal follow-up are invited to contact the CLSC in their area to receive their guide.

The nurse at Centre de grossesse de l’Hôtel-Dieu d’Arthabaska will give you a copy of the guide if you live in the Arthabaska RCM. You will be given your copy of the guide from the perinatal nurse at CLSC de l’Érable if you live in the L’Érable RCM.

CSSS Bécancour-Nicolet-Yamaska

According to where you have your pregnancy checkups, you can pick up a copy of the guide from your doctor’s office, Maison de naissance de la Rivière, the pregnancy center at CSSS Drummond, or at CSSS d’Arthabaska-de-l’Érable.

CSSS Drummond (Drummondville)

You will be given your copy of the guide in your 12th week of pregnancy at the CSSS Drummond pregnancy center at Hôpital Sainte-Croix in Drummondville.

CSSS Éneregie (Shawinigan)

You will be given your copy of the guide from the pregnancy checkup clinic at Hôpital du Centre de la Mauricie in Shawinigan-Sud.

You will be given your copy of the guide at the first appointment with your doctor or at the gynecology-obstetrics clinic at Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine.

Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur

You will be given your copy of the guide at your first appointment with your doctor or at the obstetrics clinic at Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur.

Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont

You will be given your copy of the guide at your first appointment at the obstetrics outpatient clinic at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. If you are receiving pregnancy care at a private practice, your doctor’s secretary will give you a coupon after your first pregnancy checkup asking you to visit the obstetrics clinic at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont to pick up a copy of the guide.

Hôpital Saint-Luc

You will be given your copy of the guide at your first appointment with your doctor or at the obstetrics clinic at Hôpital Saint-Luc.

Jewish General Hospital

You may get your copy of the Tiny tots to toddler booklet as you pre-register in pavilion H, room H-173, or pavilion B, room B-114 in the hospital.

Lakeshore General Hospital

Mothers who go to private clinics are given a coupon during their first pregnancy checkup. They can exchange the coupon for a guide at the hospital's post-partum department, on the 2nd floor of the south wing. Mothers being followed at Centre médical Brunswick will be given a copy of the guide at the clinic.

Royal Victoria Hospital - Glen Site

At your first appointment, your doctor will tell you to go the Admissions Office during the hours of 7 h -16 h. You can pick up a copy of the guide from Room C06.1250 near the Birthing Center and Clinics.

St. Mary’s Hospital Center

After your first medical visit, you will receive your book at your pre-admission at the hospital, local G-310.

Outaouais

Local doctors will tell you and your partner to pick up your copy of the guide at your local CLSC. Guides are available from the 12th week of pregnancy at CLSC reception desks.

A notice of pregnancy will be completed by your doctor at your first pregnancy checkup. These notices provide CSSSs with contact details for all mothers-to-be.

CSSS Basse-Côte-Nord (Blanc-Sablon)

The nurse from the health service will call you at the start of your pregnancy to come pick up your copy of the guide and learn more about the services available.

CSSS de la Haute-Côte-Nord (Les Escoumins, Forestville)

The nurse from Pavillon Escoumins and Pavillon Forestville will call you to come pick up your copy of the guide and learn more about the services available.

CSSS Hématite (Fermont)

Once she has received your notice of pregnancy, the perinatal nurse will give you a copy of the guide at your first one-on-one prenatal meeting.

CSSS Manicouagan (Baie-Comeau)

Your doctor will give you a coupon at your first pregnancy checkup. Use it to obtain your copy of the guide from reception at CLSC Lionel-Charest. For GMF, the secretary shall issue a voucher to the client during the first visit. Doctors at the Family Medicine Unit (UMF) present the guide to the client during the first visit.

CSSS Minganie (Havre-Saint-Pierre)

The Tiny Tot is presented at the first appointment for pregnancy. As needed, the guide can be mailed.

CSSS Port-Cartier (Port-Cartier)

The perinatal nurses distribute the guide in the notice of pregnancy to future mothers.

CSSS Sept-Îles (Sept-Îles)

You will be given your copy of the guide at your first pregnancy checkup at the Vents et Marées medical clinic.

At your first pregnancy checkup with your doctor, the secretary will ask you to contact the nurse at your local health center. The department that receives notices of pregnancy makes sure that all mothers-to-be have received their copy of the guide.

  • You will be given your copy of the guide at your first pregnancy checkup with the doctor at the Haut-Richelieu gynecology-obstetrics clinic at Clinique médicale du Coteau or with Dr. Ah-Sue.
  • If you plan to give birth outside our territory, you will be given your copy of the guide around the twelfth week of pregnancy when you go for blood tests at either CLSC de la Vallée des Forts, CLSC du Richelieu, or one of the two service points in Saint-Césaire and Henryville.

CISSS DE LA MONTÉRÉGIE-EST

Pierre-Boucher: At your first pregnancy checkup, your doctor will inform you that you will be given your copy of the guide around the 12th week of pregnancy at the hospital’s sampling center.

Pierre-De Saurel: You will be given your copy of the guide at blood tests at the CLSC around the 12th week of pregnancy.

  • Copies of the guide are distributed at blood tests at the CLSC points of service in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Rigaud, and Saint-Polycarpe around the 12th week of pregnancy.
  • You may also obtain your copy of the guide at your first prenatal meeting between the 10th and 12th weeks of pregnancy, at home if you are a mother-to-be receiving individualized care for an at-risk pregnancy, or from any of the three obstetricians at the Vaudreuil-Dorion medical clinic.
  • The guide is provided by obstetricians at 5 CSSSVS (clinic specializing in new premises of CSSS).

Nunavik

Centre de santé Inuulitsivik

In the villages of Puvirnituq, Salluit, and Inukjuak, you will be given your copy of the guide by your midwife at the start of the pregnancy. In other villages your nurse will give you a copy of the guide at the start of the pregnancy.

Centre de Santé Tulattavik de l’Ungava

The nurse at your service point in any of the seven villages will give you a copy of the guide as soon as possible at the start of your pregnancy once your pregnancy has been confirmed by a nurse.

Terres-Cries de la Baie-James

You will be given your copy of the guide by your nurse or community health representative at your first prenatal checkup.
