The Institut national de santé publique du Québec is aware of the importance of making sure that the information it publishes on the web is accessible.
The Institute is committed to ensuring that the content disseminated by this website remains accessible. Measures have been put in place to ensure that the site and all its content, both current and future, comply with the government’s accessibility standards.
This website complies with the requirements specified in the Québec public administration standard entitled Standard sur l'accessibilité d'un site Web (SGQRI 008-01).
For example:
- a replacement text for informative images, schematics, diagrams, graphs or flowcharts;
- a separate title and indication of any section headings;
- a logical sequential order detectable by adaptive computer technologies;
- an adequate contrast ratio for text and background colour;
- relative font size units of measure;
- hyperlink labels that allow a link’s destination to be determined outside its immediate context;
- abbreviations are associated with their definitions.
Accessibility of downloadable documents
The Institute disseminates many of its publications in PDF format. We make every effort to ensure that our PDF files are accessible. In addition, the Institute will provide a document to any person requesting it in a format adapted to their needs.
