Risk assessment committee

The files of caregivers who contact SERTIH and who perform exposure-prone procedures will be assessed by an ad hoc assessment committee.

The objective is to assess the risk of caregivers to transmit a blood-borne infection to patients in the course of their practice or internship. In order to protect the confidentiality of the caregivers, no nominal data are transmitted to the assessment committee members.

This committee is made up of:

  • A physician specializing in medical microbiology and infectious diseases;
  • A physician specializing in public health and preventive medicine or a general practitioner with skills and experience in public health and infectious diseases;
  • If necessary, a professional practicing in the field
