Psychosocial risks in the workplace and health promotion

The prevention of psychosocial risks in the workplace and the promotion of organizational practices conducive to workers' health represent an emerging field of expertise in which the Institut is developing services and tools to promote health in Quebec companies. 

An abundance of scientific evidence from around the world points to the adverse effects of workplace psychosocial risks on mental health and physical health. Reducing or eliminating these risks will help to improve health and foster healthy workplaces.

 Occupational health promotion activities help to support and influence key stakeholders, such as public or private companies, whose decisions on organization and working conditions can have pathogenic or salutogenic effects on their workers.
