An abundance of scientific evidence from around the world points to the adverse effects of workplace psychosocial risks on mental health1 and physical health. Over the past few years, the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ) and its collaborators have developed a Tool for Identifying Psychosocial Risk Factors in the Workplace, which allows these risks to be identified and analyzed, and approaches to reducing their impact in the workplace to be proposed.

Public health recommendations for occupational health are based on the principle of a hierarchy of preventive and protective occupational health measures according to their effectiveness in the specific context of COVID-19. The measures presented in this information sheet are in addition to other measures recommended for workplaces and workers, which in combination increase worker protection.

This questionnaire aims to screen workers before entering their workplace to exclude those who are symptomatic and who have not had contact with a known case of COVID-19 already followed by public health authorities.

The questionnaire is intended to be completed by employees themselves on their workplace (other than health care facilities) to ensure the rapid removal of workers potentially infected with COVID-19 and to prevent its transmission to others in the workplace.

This document presents interim recommendations for the food processing industry.
