Healthy eating and active lifestyle
Healthy eating and active lifestyle have a large influence on health and well-being. These two determinants of health are linked to the risk of developing several major health problems, including obesity, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, certain cancers and osteoporosis.
The INSPQ's work focuses primarily on documenting, analyzing and modifying the environmental determinants of healthy eating, physical activity and weight issues, particularly in the agri-food, built layout and socio-cultural aspects associated with lifestyles. All of this work includes scientific monitoring, indicator monitoring, public policy analysis, knowledge transfer and documentation of environmental characteristics associated with lifestyles.
