This document presents current knowledge about the risk of COVID-19 transmission at artificial and natural swimming sites. It provides general recommendations to site users and operators.

Artificial swimming sites include facilities such as indoor and outdoor pools, spas, splash pads, misters and wading pools. Natural sites refers to beaches.

To avoid contact with the toxoplasma parasite or other germs, wear gloves when gardening and when handling soil and sand. Wash your hands well after gardening and thoroughly wash all vegetables and fruit that may have been in contact with soil.

Any resumption of non-essential services must be carried out in such a way as to control the transmission of COVID-19. In fact, it is of paramount importance to avoid an important increase in the number of people infected, hospitalized or in intensive care, and of deaths. A number of conditions must be respected to ensure the control of COVID-19 in Québec.
