AMAP: AMAP Ring Test for Persistent Organic Pollutants in Human Serum

This program targets laboratories analyzing contaminants in human serum including PCB Congeners, Chlorinated Pesticides, Brominated Flame Retardants, Perfluorinated Compounds and Serum Lipids. It was initiated in 2001 out of a need expressed by laboratories participating in the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program (www.amap.no) to ensure comparability of the data provided. Approximately 30 laboratories participate and the program is open to any interested laboratories.

Participants receive three rounds per year, each containing three PTMs in none freeze-dried serum. All analytes are included in each PTM.

This scheme is ISO/IEC 17043 accredited.
