Health conditions and inequalities

Painting a picture of the population's health requires data on several aspects of physical and mental health, as well as on the factors that influence them. These include the characteristics of the physical and social environments in which people live, as they influence their decisions, behaviors, and the risks they are exposed to. It is also important to consider social inequalities in health, since social determinants have a major impact on the individual health and, by extension, the population's health.

To improve the health condition of the population, we must first draw up a portrait of it, understand how it varies over time and across Quebec, and identify the disparities between the different groups that make up the population.
