|In 2009-2010, roughly 4 out of 10 Quebec teenagers (41%) were physically active during their leisure time, with the proportion being higher among boys (48%) than among girls (33%). In contrast, very few teenagers (6%) were sedentary during their leisure time. However, when somewhat active and barely active teenagers are included in the latter group, this proportion rises to 33%.
* Coefficient of variation higher than 15% and lower than or equal to 25%. The value must be interpreted with caution.
1. The results pertain to physical activity over a three-month period. Since data collection was spread over 24 consecutive months, each percentage represents the average for the total period. This data collection method takes into account seasonal variations.
